Gareth is a former Bath, England and British Lions rugby player who has always been recognised as one of the game’s true characters. He is also a renowned after-dinner speaker known for his amazingly funny rugby anecdotes that have been enjoyed at sporting and company dinners all around the country.

Gareth Chilcott made over 400 1st Team Appearances for Bath RFC and received 5 League Winners Medals.

He made his England debut against Australia in 1984 and toured with the British Lions in Australia in 1989, together with Andy Robinson and Jeremy Guscott.

Gareth is also well-known as a commentator. He has worked for Radio Five Live! commentating on all major rugby fixtures worldwide.

He acted in the revived stage play Up ‘n’ Under which was set around a rugby league sevens tournament.

Chilcott is also a Bristol City supporter and goes to many home and away games.

Chilcott is also an active Honorary President of the rugby charity Wooden Spoon, which aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Britain and Ireland. He is also the ‘corporate face’ of Gullivers Sports Travel, accompanying rugby supporters around the world and at hospitality events in the UK.

Gareth also writes a weekly article for the Western Daily Press.

Chilcott always gave 110 % and gained respect both in Britain and abroad, he now gains the same respect for his after dinner presentations.
