Jurgen s a German football manager and former player, with 108 caps and nearly 50 goals for his country, he is a legend in German football.

Jurgen Klinsmann played for several prominent clubs in Europe and was part of the West German team that won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the German team that won the 1996 UEFA European Championship.

1988 was Jurgen’s first big year. He finished top goalscorer in the Bundesliga and was voted “German Player of the Year”. In the summer of 1989 Klinsmann went abroad to play for Italian giants Inter Milan. Klinsmann was a continental player, who easily adapted to the Italian game, and he went on to win the Serie A title with Inter Milan in his first season.

Klinsmann became an instant hit with Totenham Hotspur fans after signing for the club for the 1994-95 season. He was popular at the club for his humour and combative playing style, as well as his now famous diving celebration, and was voted “English Player of the Year” in 1995.

Also in 1995, Jurgen and some of his close friends founded a children’s charity foundation called Agapedia. As of today Agapedia runs four projects in Germany, Bulgaria, Moldova and Romania. And In May 1999, Klinsmann donated all the proceeds from his farewell game (more than $1 million) to different children charity organizations.

In July 2008 Klinsmann took over as coach of Bayern Munich, where he also helped design a new player development and performance center for the team. Under his guidance, Bayern reached the quarter final of the Champions League, losing to eventual champion FC Barcelona.

On 29 July 2011, Klinsmann was named head coach of the United States men’s national soccer team making him the 35th coach in the history of the program.
