Tampax teams up with Bethany Hamilton

Surfer Bethany Hamilton is encouraging girls to get active this summer as part of a new campaign with Tampax Pearl Active Plastic.

The Awesomely Active Girls Challenge looks to celebrate active girls who share pictures of them taking part in their favourite activity on the brand’s Facebook page. They are then in with a chance of becoming the Awesomely Active Girl of the Week and winning $500, a year’s supply of Tampax Pearl Active and more.

Bethany comments, ‘I am happy to be partnering with Tampax Pearl Active because they offer high performance protection for high performance girls just like me who would never think of letting their periods keep them from hanging ten or biking hard. This contest is all about cheering on each other and celebrating those active moments when all eyes are on them.’

For one month, from June 21 until July 21 (2013), girls can enter the Awesomely Active Girls Challenge by submitting a photo of them taking on their favorite activity with 140 character caption on Facebook.com/Tampax. Beginning July 29 and through October 6 (2013) the community can place votes for their favorite moment. Each week, a winner will be selected and highlighted as the “Awesomely Active Girl of the Week,” not only receiving the spotlight but also $500, a year’s supply of Tampax Pearl Active and additional product to share with their closest friends or teammates.

On June 21st 2013, active girls can challenge themselves to master expert poses or visit the Tampax Pearl Active booth for some active fun with their friends. Bethany Hamilton will also stop by to talk about her active moments. Girls onsite and at home can stay looped in on the activities by using and following the hashtag #AwesomelyActive.
