Luxury watch brand Breitling has named David Beckham as the face of its Transocean Chronograph Unitime worldtimer watch.
Breitling has chosen David Beckham as the face of its Transocean Chronograph Unitime worldtimer watch. The new campaign establishes a long-term partnership between the innovative and historic Swiss brand and one of the world’s most celebrated icons.
Through its long-established ties with aviation, the sky has always been the limit for Breitling – as the brand has proved throughout its history by creating a number of travel watches including the famous Unitime in the 1950s and 60s.
Described by Breitling as “one of the world’s most successful sportsmen and style icons”, Beckham begins a long-term partnership with the brand with an advertising campaign shot by renowned photographer Anthony Mandler. He is pictured in front of a private jet wearing the timepiece.
“I’ve always been a long-time admirer of Breitling”, Beckham said. “As a company they create not only the highest-performance watches but also timeless designs that have inspired generations. It was a natural choice for me to partner with this fantastic brand.”
The Breitling Transocean Chronograph Unitime is a high-performance self-winding chronograph powered by Manufacture Breitling Calibre B05 movement, officially chronometer-certified by the COSC.
The Transocean Chronograph Unitime is equipped with the new Manufacture Breitling Caliber B05 and provides permanent readings of the time in all 24 timezones through its crown-operated correction system.
The 46 mm case is available in steel or 18K red gold, with a convex sapphire crystal glare-proofed on both sides. The dial is black or polar white, and it comes with a choice of leather straps or steel bracelet.
As the images were released, the England legend took to Facebook to tell fans all about it and thank them for their support.
He said: “Good to see that you were so positive by the Breitling story.”
Breitling has an extensive history and is prominent in the history of The Watch Gallery; in 1987 UK Breitling distributor Franz Le Rosee became managing director and The Watch Gallery became the first UK store to stock Breitling watches. Breitling watches are some of the most prestigious in the world.
