A sizzling tribute to Olympic hero Jade Jones

A BUTCHER’S ‘golden’ sausages have become the ‘sizzling’ stars of the small screen. Tony Lovatt, of Tony Lovatt and Son Butchers in Flint, has seen his sausages thrust into the spotlight after he created a special Jade Jones recipe. The 65-year-old created the Jade Jones Olympic Gold sausage in honour of Flint’s Olympic taekwondo champion. Last night Jade appeared on BBC’s The One Show, presented by Matt Baker and Alex Jones, and took a batch of the famous sausages with her. Football player Abby Wambach has been appointed Celebrity Ambassador for New York State apples. Abby will team up with NYAA for an ad campaign, “Abby for Apples,” promoting New York apples and apple products. A native of Rochester, New York, Abby is starring in television, radio, print and online advertisements for the New York Apple Association (NYAA). In addition she features on point-of-sale signs for grocery, farm and green markets, on the NYAA’s website and on social media. Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is going back to his roots as ambassador for Budweiser Club Futures, a new programme launched by The FA and Budweiser. The initiative sees £1m invested into grassroots football over the next two seasons and Alan is leading it by encouraging clubs to participate in addition to heading up the judging panel that decides the eight winners in the first season. Pardew has the perfect credentials to be the face of Budweiser Club Futures. He began his playing career as a non-League part-timer at Whyteleafe and Epsom & Ewell, whilst working as a glazier. British road racing cyclist Alex Dowsett has been named official Ambassador for The Cycle 2000 team in support of Help For Heroes and The Soldiers’ Charity. Alex is three time British National Time Trial Champion and rides for the Spanish Movistar team. His biggest career win to date came with victory in the brutal stage 8 55km time trial at the 2013 Giro D’Italia. He comments; “I am proud to support Cycle 2000, hopefully we can raise lots of money and awareness for our wounded and injured military personnel”. In August 2013, a team of cyclists will set off from Manchester on a 2000 kilometre cycle ride around all 20 Barclays Premier League stadia. London 2012 Gold medalist Aly Raisman signed her first major endorsement deal with Poland Spring water, a 100% Natural Spring Water, New England spring water brand, said Tuesday that it is partnering with three-time Olympic medalist Aly Raisman. The 18-year-old gymnast from Massachusetts got a one-year deal to be a spokesperson for Poland Spring, which is part of Nestle Waters North America, which bills itself as the largest bottled water company in the United States.
